맛이 갔다 – went crazy; in a tizzy

by

The picture gets your attention. The expression is the real punchline. Here is the meaning and the scene behind it, straight from As Much as a Rat’s Tail.

[mash-i-kat-da]

went crazy; lost one’s senses; in a tizzy

from Instagram: http://ift.tt/1pASny2 Man, I feel like this everyday in traffic, really 맛이 갔다 [mash-i-kat-da] !

Meaning & context

As with food that has gone bad, mashikatda indicates a person who has lost control of his or her senses either from being crazy, or (more commonly) from drinking too much. Similar to “lose one’s cool,” or “lose one’s shit!”

광성

I just told him that the escargot had gone bad.

HwaSeok
