토나오다 – make me puke; hell no
The picture gets your attention. The expression is the real punchline. Here is the meaning and the scene behind it, straight from As Much as a Rat’s Tail.
토나오다
[to-na-o-da]
make me puke hell no
토나오다 (Ok, that was figuratively, NOT literally!) Make me gag… like totally gross me out to the max! You haven’t got a chance in hell! Forget about it!! ~ What? You really like my hair? Well, ok then.
Meaning & context
글자 그대로, “토할 것 같다.” 어떠한 제안이나 아이디어에 반감을 갖고 있어 “소화기관” 에서 게워 낼 정도로 싫음의 의미를 내포하고 있다. 비슷한 영어 표현으로는 “Hell no!” 혹은 “You’ve got to be kidding.”가 있다.
Literally “I’m going to throw up.” The Korean implies a disgust with some suggestion or idea, providing a physical or “gut” response that is as hateful as vomiting. Similar to the English “Hell no!” “You’ve got to be kidding!” or “Don’t make me puke!”
